726 Six Year Reunion Dinner

Taylor, Rachel, Zoe, and Lucy

We are so lucky to live near a handful of the families we traveled with to China for Taylor. We try to meet a few times during the year. Recently we met for dinner to celebrate Chinese new Year and our six years as families with daughters from China. The girls were quiet at first and so we played a few ice-breakers (telephone, favorite things) and soon they were laughing and chatting up a storm.
We also introduced Kendy to the group. The red thread is powerful and creates a life-long connection to wonderful people.

Family visit

Taylor: I had fun with my Grandma. We played games and had lots of fun, played jenga,OldMaid, chekers, and I thank Go fish.We sang songs that my Mom gerw up with.I LOVE my grandma.

We were lucky enough to have Auntie Sherry, Aunt Tammy & Uncle Bob and Grandma Milly all come for a visit to see Taylor and meet Kendy. Taylor loved having her auntie's attention to play beauty stuff. Kendy shared her room with Uncle Bob and Aunt Tammy and I was relieved of bedtime wake-up calls! Kendy took to all of them and it was great to see this. She is very tentative with strangers and seemed to know these people were with us. It was a really wonderful visit and we missed everyone when they went home.

Chinese Cultural Night

Taylor's school, GVA celebrated Chinese Cultural Night with music, dance, food, and a performance by local Kung Fu talent. Our friend Kalea performed with her Kung Fu class. Tay won the drawing for the grand prize: Hello Kitty gift basket! She was so happy.
Taylor was fabulous dancing with all the 1st graders front and center. Kendy and I were in the hospital, so daddy took Tay and said she was awesome. By the pictures and video, she definitely enjoyed herself!
